THE INGRID bridal EXPERIENCE
The most important part of the experience is getting to know you and the elements of the look and feel of your wedding day that matter to you most.
This process begins with an initial consultation at the Ingrid Bridal House in Sheffield. This is where we walk through the collections together and discuss the styles that you feel connect to you the most.
We will have asked you upon booking your first appointment your wedding date, ideal budget and dress size so that we can tailor the consultation to you.

Your first consultation
Once you and your bridal party arrive at the Ingrid Bridal House you shall be led upstairs to our lounge to enjoy complimentary drinks. Here we will take the opportunity to get to know you better, before you head into the collection room to view our made to measure wedding dress collection.
We want you to feel relaxed and supported from beginning to end. So we will talk you through the dresses while continuing to get a better understanding of what you are looking for, making note of details and dresses that catch your eye.
You will also have the opportunity to look at our collection of fabric samples that our dresses can be made in and we will take this opportunity to take your measurements, this way we can get started once you have made your decision.
Creating your bespoke bridal dress
Whether you’ve chosen a dress from the made to measure bridal collection or chosen to go completely bespoke, we want your experience to be a memorable one, that is completely tailored to you.
The first sketches of your dress will incorporate the ideas we discussed in your first consultation, so that you can see the concept come to life.
Once the design has been decided on in sketch form or the style has been chosen from our collection, we will book in your first fitting appointment. Here you will try on your first toile, a mock up of your design made in a cotton calico fabric or replica silk. At this appointment we will be looking at the design and fit of the toile, so that we can talk about any changes that might suit your shape, height and style. Here we will also work with you to decide on the final fabric.
We create bespoke bridal dresses for brides locally and internationally, so we are well versed in the process of working long distance, sending you fabric samples and toiles to try on from afar.
The fit of the dress is as important to us as it is to you. We will have multiple fittings to make sure it is right for you. Once we are happy with the design and fit, the fabric will be ordered and the final garment will be made in our atelier by our talented makers.
When we have finished your wedding dress, depending on the fit and shape of the style, we shall go through a final fitting before finishing your gown.
